15th Annual Weinman Award Recipient
Dr. Peter K. Vogt, Ph.D., is honored with the XV Weinman award for his transformation of cancer research with the discovery of the first oncogene, SRC. His mutational analysis of Rous sarcoma virus established the genetic map of retroviruses. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences (1980) and presently is a Professor at Scripps University.
